Christmas celebrations have started here

Yay Christmas! I must admit I do love Christmas. Its pretty lights, the illusion of Santa that i can now give to Ryan. The tree, the tinsel hung everywhere, snow flakes on Ryans windows. Its just so cool. I had a couple of trips to do to the Warehouse as I wasnt quite happy with the Tree the first attempt, and i wanted some more tinsel to hang round the house so after going there a couple of times and getting some pretty awesome deals this is what my house turned into.

Of course Ryan had to help while I was doing dangerous climbing on chairs to hang the Tinsel to the Doorframes. Lucky he was quite content to play with the huge box that the Tree and decorations came in. He really enjoyed the fact that it was nearly as tall as him and played boo for awhile whenever i looked round at him.

The animals have already gone into Holiday mode. I guess it doesnt help much that our first few days of true Summer have started with rain non stop. On the 1st of December is the official day of Summer in New Zealand and all its done in Northland is blow gales and rain since then. So the animals have been sleeping lots and wanting cuddles.

Mark was at the house on the 1st of December so Ryan got to spend some time with his Dad, so they watched the video together from Santa personalised for Ryan and Daddy also gave him his own letter from Santa. Ryan managed to sit through the whole video from Santa even though its actually quite long.

As a early Christmas present from me Ryan got a new chair and Alphabet letters for the fridge. He had been playing lots with the Alphabet at Daycare and I was told he was really keen on learning the alphabet so we haven been concentrating on working on that. We will get in the morning and Ryan will go choose the numbers and letters of the fridge that he wants to play with. He then puts them into a little container and carries them to where he wants to play and tips them on the floor. Then every 5 mins he will bring either a number or a letter to me and try to tell me what it is. Hes pretty spot on most of the time clever boy

That night I decided that Macky needed a bath so Ryan and I bathed the dog. Sadly we didnt get any videos or pics of Macky having a bath because he does look rather pathetic, but here is a photo after he was done. Least he smells good again and is fluffy.
